Transfer Leaf is identical to loose leaf except that each leaf has been pressed onto a slightly larger waxed sheet of paper which can be handled, to prevent contact with the metal. The paper & gold leaf is then offered up to the prepared area and gentle pressure will transfer the gold leaf on to the item awaiting gilding.
